Talk2MorePeople Day 301 from Lake Louise

Talk2MorePeople Day 301 from Lake Louise.

Through talking with Shelby, Mark, and Cale I received a $15 birthday voucher at Lake Louise. This came just from joking around in line. This is further evidence that it literally pays to Talk2MorePeople. Thank you Mark, Shelby and Cale for the excellent customer service.

Later in the day, I took a picture with Robert’s telephone about 30 minutes before meeting him for the first time.

At the top of the Larch chair today I found an iPhone in the snow. I picked it up and asked the skier’s who were close to me if anybody had lost a phone and everybody said no. We did a run and ended up at the lodge for a short break. Before I could speak to someone who works there, remarkably, my friends had found the owner.

This of course gave me the opportunity to meet Robert. He was thrilled to have his phone back as he told me that he was on a “Snow Safari”. It turns out that Roger is a golf pro and he was very happy to see his phone again.

When we discussed the importance of talking to strangers, he commented “Hey that’s the best way to get work. You need to talk to people!”

When I randomly bumped into him again several hours later in line for coffee, he said, “I used to be really shy, but knowing that I needed to meet more people helped me become more comfortable with this”.

I wish you a safe journey on the remaining days of your snow safari. It was great to meet you today Robert Mercer Deruntz.
